Best AI concierge and guest messaging tools for small hotels

Six platforms compared on the criteria that decide the purchase: channels, languages, published pricing, integrations and how much production evidence sits behind each one.

Last reviewed 27 August 2026. Every vendor fact below comes from that vendor's own website on that date.

Disclosure, before anything else

We make Hey Concierge, one of the six products on this page. We have kept every competitor claim to what the vendor states publicly, and we say plainly where each of them is ahead of us - which, on scale and integrations, is most of them. Where we could not verify something, the page says "not stated" rather than guessing. If you want a comparison with no seller in it, Hotel Tech Report carries verified customer reviews for most of these vendors.

What is an AI concierge for hotels?

An AI concierge is software that answers guest messages automatically, in the guest's own language, on the channels the guest already uses - most often WhatsApp, a website chat widget, Instagram or an OTA inbox. A good one is grounded in the property's own knowledge base: its rate sheet, policies and FAQ. It answers pre-stay questions about availability and price, in-stay requests such as late checkout or a taxi, and it hands the conversation to a human when the answer is not in the approved knowledge base. It is different from a scripted chatbot, which can only follow decision trees, and from a shared inbox, which routes messages to humans without answering anything itself.

How this comparison was made

Each vendor's own website was read on 27 August 2026 and only figures stated there were used. No third-party estimates, no analyst numbers, no scraped review scores except where a vendor publishes its own. Where a vendor does not publish something - a price, a language count, a channel list - this page says so instead of filling the gap. That means some cells are empty by design, and that is information too: four of these six vendors will not tell you what they cost until you talk to a salesperson.

Vendor by vendor

What each platform actually is, and who it suits

Asksuite

AI reservation assistant and omnichannel inbox · 5,500+ hotels in 80+ countries

Asksuite is the largest specialist in this list and the most established name in hotel chatbots. Its AI reservation assistant answers inbound enquiries and pushes travellers towards a direct booking; an omnichannel inbox and CRM consolidate WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, webchat and inbound email into one screen for the reservations team, with AskFlow agents, an AI copilot for human agents and an AI data hub layered on top. The number that matters most for a hotel with a booking engine is 400+ booking engine integrations - that is what lets the assistant quote live availability rather than a static rate sheet.

Best for

Hotels and small groups that need live booking-engine data inside the conversation, broad channel coverage including webchat and email, and a vendor with a long public reference list.

Limitations

No public pricing - the site states that pricing depends on your hotel's needs, so every evaluation starts with a sales conversation. Telegram is not listed among its channels.

HiJiffy

Guest communications platform · 2,600+ hotels · publishes full pricing

HiJiffy pairs a Booking Assistant AI for the pre-stay phase with a Virtual Concierge AI for the in-stay phase, both surfaced through Console, a single interface where staff handle every conversation. It reaches further across the guest journey than a pure messaging tool: digital check-in, guest-journey automation, WhatsApp campaigns and multi-property management are all part of the platform, and its channel list is the broadest here - thirteen entries including webchat, SMS, voice and the Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb inboxes. It is one of only two vendors on this page that publishes a price list.

Best for

Properties that want one vendor across pre-stay, check-in, in-stay and post-stay, that receive enquiries through OTA inboxes, and that need unlimited message volume - Pro and above state unlimited agents and messages.

Limitations

The $109 Basic tier is capped at 25 FAQ topics and 3 languages, so a genuinely multilingual deployment starts at Pro, $179 per month plus a $449 setup fee per five properties. Every published tier carries a setup fee.

Quinta (formerly Quicktext)

Hotel data platform with the Velma AI assistant · operating since 2017

Quinta, which rebranded from Quicktext, frames itself less as a chatbot and more as a hotel data platform: it states that it collects, structures and distributes 4,200 data points per hotel through modules named Q-Data, Q-Channel, Q-SEO, Q-Sales and Q-Task, with the Velma AI assistant handling booking conversion on top of that structured data. The angle is distinctive - clean, structured hotel data is exactly what makes any AI assistant answer accurately, and Quinta sells that layer explicitly, including distribution of it to search engines and AI systems. Its named clients are large groups: Accor, Hyatt, Highgate, Palladium, Warwick and others.

Best for

Hotels and groups that see structured, distributable property data as the asset - for direct-booking conversion, for FAQ and SEO surfaces, and for feeding AI systems - rather than a chat widget on its own.

Limitations

Neither pricing nor a channel list is stated on its site, and the client roster is weighted towards large chains, which makes fit for a 40-room independent hard to assess without a call.

Duve

Guest experience platform · 3,450+ customers in 96+ countries · 150+ integrations

Duve is a guest experience platform rather than a messaging product. Online check-in, an upselling platform, a guest app, digital room keys, a room directory, digital menus with mobile ordering, analytics and segmentation and a guest communication hub with AI agents all sit in one suite, reaching guests on WhatsApp, email, SMS, Airbnb and OTAs. It states 150+ integrations, naming property management systems including Mews, Cloudbeds, Apaleo, Oracle Hospitality, Guestline and StayNTouch - depth that matters, because a guest experience platform is only as good as the reservation data flowing into it.

Best for

Properties whose bottleneck is the stay rather than the enquiry: check-in friction, upsell revenue, room directories and mobile ordering, with automated messaging wrapped around all of it.

Limitations

No published pricing and no stated language count. If your only problem is unanswered WhatsApp enquiries, this is more platform than the problem needs.

Canary Technologies

Guest management suite · 20,000+ hotels in 125+ countries

Canary Technologies has the largest stated footprint on this page and the widest product surface: digital arrivals, mobile check-in, tablet registration, self-service kiosks, mobile keys, dynamic upsells, digital compendium, F&B mobile ordering, digital tipping, smart checkout, deposits and payments, plus an AI layer that includes AI Guest Messaging, AI Webchat, AI Voice and an AI Agent Studio for building custom agents. Its AI guest messaging states support for 100+ languages, and the company states that it integrates natively with all major hotel property management systems.

Best for

Hotels and groups replacing several point solutions at once - registration, keys, payments, upsells and messaging - and operations that want AI voice alongside AI chat from a single vendor.

Limitations

No published pricing and no itemised channel list. The breadth that suits a branded property with a front-office team is usually more than an owner-operated villa complex needs.

Hey Concierge

AI concierge in the guest's messenger · two properties in production · our product

Hey Concierge answers guests 24/7 inside WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram, strictly from the knowledge base the hotel approves - website, rate sheets and internal documents - using retrieval-augmented generation. When a question falls outside that base it says so and hands the thread to staff rather than guessing. It takes direct bookings that carry no OTA commission, sells late checkout, spa, tours and transfers during the stay, detects the guest's language from the first message, and gives the whole team one shared inbox. Pricing is published and flat: $99, $199 or $399 per property per month, extra conversations at $0.07, no setup fee during early access. In production, 64.8% of guest conversations were handled with no message from hotel staff, across 4,723 conversations at two properties, June-August 2026.

Best for

Independent hotels, villas and resorts of 30 to 150 rooms in WhatsApp-first markets, that want a multilingual assistant at the entry tier, a published price and a person from the vendor's team building the knowledge base by hand.

Limitations

The shortest track record here by a wide margin - two properties against thousands. No PMS or channel manager integration live in production; Cloudbeds, SiteMinder, STAAH and eZee Absolute are in build and pilot. No webchat widget, no email or SMS channel, no OTA inboxes, no digital check-in, no voice. Every plan carries a conversation cap with per-conversation overage.

How should a small hotel choose between them?

Work from where your guests actually write to you, not from feature lists. Pull last month's enquiries and count them by channel. That number decides more than anything on a vendor's homepage.

  1. If most enquiries arrive on WhatsApp: shortlist Hey Concierge and HiJiffy first, because they are the two that publish prices and you can budget before you take a call. Add Asksuite if you also need webchat and email.
  2. If enquiries arrive through the Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb inbox: HiJiffy is the only vendor here that lists those inboxes as channels. Duve also names Airbnb and OTAs.
  3. If the assistant must quote live availability: Asksuite's 400+ booking engine integrations and Duve's 150+ integrations are the relevant numbers. Hey Concierge cannot do this today.
  4. If the problem is the stay, not the enquiry: check-in queues, upsell revenue, room directories and mobile ordering point to Duve or Canary Technologies rather than to a messaging tool.
  5. If your data is a mess: Quinta sells the structured-data layer explicitly, and every other product on this page will perform better once that work is done - including ours.

How do I evaluate an AI concierge before buying it?

Run four tests in the demo. First, ask the assistant something that is deliberately not in the knowledge base and see whether it admits it and escalates, or invents an answer - this single test separates these products more than any feature list. Second, ask for a price and check whether the figure matches your actual rate sheet. Third, write in a language you have not configured and see what comes back. Fourth, ask the vendor to show you the handover: how a human takes over a live thread and what history they see. Then price a full first year including setup fees and per-conversation overage, not just the monthly headline.

One number worth checking on every vendor, including us. Ask how many properties are in production today, not how many logos are on the website. Ours is two, with 4,723 conversations between June and August 2026. It is a small sample and we would rather you weigh it correctly than be impressed by it.
FAQ

AI concierge tools for small hotels: common questions

Which AI concierge tools publish their prices?

Of the six platforms on this page, only two publish a price list. HiJiffy publishes Basic at $109 per month plus a $109 setup fee per five properties, Pro at $179 per month plus $449 setup, and Premium at $359 per month plus $699 setup, with Enterprise on request. Hey Concierge publishes Starter at $99, Growth at $199 and Pro at $399 per property per month, with extra conversations at $0.07 and no setup fee during early access. Asksuite states that pricing depends on the hotel's needs, and Quinta, Duve and Canary Technologies do not state pricing on their websites at all. For those four, budget for a sales conversation before you can budget for the software.

Which tool is best for a small independent hotel of 30 to 150 rooms?

It depends on where your guests write to you. If most enquiries arrive on WhatsApp and you want a published price you can approve without a sales cycle, Hey Concierge and HiJiffy are the two to shortlist, because they are the two that publish prices. If enquiries arrive through the Booking.com, Expedia or Airbnb inbox as well, HiJiffy covers those and Hey Concierge does not. If you run a booking engine whose live availability must appear in the chat, Asksuite's 400+ booking engine integrations are hard to match. If the real problem is check-in queues and upsell revenue rather than unanswered messages, Duve and Canary Technologies are guest-experience platforms rather than messaging tools and are a better fit for that job.

What is the difference between an AI concierge and a guest experience platform?

An AI concierge is centred on the conversation: it answers questions, converts enquiries into direct bookings and sells during the stay. Asksuite, HiJiffy, Quinta and Hey Concierge sit closest to that description. A guest experience platform is centred on the stay itself: online check-in, digital room keys, a guest app, a digital compendium, mobile ordering, payments and checkout, with messaging as one module among many. Duve and Canary Technologies sit closest to that description - Canary states over 20,000 hotels in 125+ countries across a suite that runs from tablet registration to smart checkout, and Duve states 3,450+ customers across 96+ countries. Hotels often end up running one of each rather than choosing between them.

How many languages do these tools support?

The published figures differ widely and the tier matters. HiJiffy states 3 languages on its Basic plan and 132 languages from Pro upwards. Canary Technologies states that its AI guest messaging speaks 100+ languages. Hey Concierge states 100+ languages on every plan, detected automatically from the guest's first message. Asksuite states 50+ languages. Quinta states 38 native languages. Duve does not state a language count on its website. If your guests come from many source markets, check which plan the multilingual capability starts on, not just the headline number.
